News and Events

Two talented members from the Renewable Energy and Environmental Conservation (REEC) Lab, Allam Daffa and Thanakrit (Arm), have joined the Taiwan Education Experience Program (TEEP) at Feng Chia University's Institute of Green Products. This transformative program, running from October 2024 to January 2025, is guided by Prof. Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu, the institute's director.

In their first week, Allam and Thanakrit introduced themselves to Prof. Dr. Chu and a dedicated team of mentors, including postdoctoral and Ph.D. students. They presented their research interests and discussed their goals, finding strong alignment with the institute's projects. Allam will focus on advancing technology through image processing and machine learning analysis. Encouraged by Prof. Dr. Chu to collaborate closely with fellow researchers, he has been provided with valuable literature to deepen his understanding and insights. Thanakrit will work on a multi-objective optimization model for biomass supply chains in Thailand, aiming to enhance resource management and sustainability within biomass systems. He will collaborate with mentors to apply these optimization strategies effectively. Under the supervision of Reyhan, a Ph.D. student, both Allam and Thanakrit will engage in laboratory activities and discussions related to hydrogen production, specifically focusing on maintaining optimal pH and temperature conditions for bacterial activity.

The TEEP program at Feng Chia University offers a unique opportunity for Allam and Thanakrit to learn from leading experts and contribute meaningfully to green energy research and technologies. With a supportive team and collaborative research environment, they are set for a truly enriching experience.
