Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuttana Mona and researchers from the Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion Laboratory (REEC-Lab), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, participated in the Thailand National Research Awards 2027 – Invention Award, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Agriculture and Biology category.
The team presented their innovation, “Portable Hybrid Energy Storage Device Using Biomass-Derived Carbon,” which transforms agricultural waste into high-performance carbon materials for energy storage applications. A functional prototype was demonstrated to the expert evaluation committee, highlighting its potential for practical applications.
This innovation demonstrates the integration of biomass valorization, clean energy, and energy storage technology, contributing to sustainable resource utilization and the development of next-generation energy solutions.
