At the CMU Annual Research Summit 2025, held on August 18–19, 2025 at Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, our research laboratory actively participated in the scientific sessions.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Yuttana Mona and Dr. Uma Shankar Verasamy presented their work entitled “One-Step Activation of Biomass-Derived Carbon for Electrochemical Energy Storage Applications.” Their presentation highlighted an innovative and sustainable approach to valorize biomass into high-performance carbon materials, aiming to enhance electrochemical energy storage systems.
Dr. Napassawan Wongmongkol presented her work entitled “The Study of CO₂ Capture and Reducing Heat Entering Buildings Using Small-Sized Algae.” Her presentation emphasized a novel approach that integrates carbon capture with thermal regulation in buildings, utilizing microalgae as a sustainable solution to mitigate climate change and improve energy efficiency in urban environments.
Werapat Panchai, Suwimon Wicharuck, Tussanee Praipanakul, Jutamas Kumchai, Chatchawan Chaichana, and Daruni Naphrom presented their work entitled “Evaluation of Rocket (Eruca sativa) Cultivation Potential in an A-Frame Vertical Farming System under Evaporative Greenhouse Conditions.” Their presentation demonstrated the potential of integrating vertical farming with controlled environment agriculture to optimize rocket (arugula) growth, improve resource use efficiency, and provide sustainable solutions for future food production systems.
